“My earliest memories are of the sea. I’ve never lived far from it for more than a few months. The restless movement of the waves and the swiftly changing moods echo my own restless and moody nature.
In 2021 I started this project, letting the changing faces of the seacoast inspire my images, finding ways to show the beauty of what some people find to be a very commonplace landscape.
My goal is to give voice to the unspoken in this otherwise unnoticed place.”

Madeleine Lenagh has been photographing most of her life. In 2016, she started photographing full time. Her work has been published in the magazines On Landscape, Natuurfotografie, and The Luminous Landscape as well as having been exhibited in several European and online galeries.
