The Elephants of Kruger National Park
A series of photos that I made of the Kruger Park elephants. “Once ranging across most of Africa the elephant population has declined dramatically across the continent. Due to rigorous conservation measures the elephant population in South Africa has grown from an estimated 120 in 1920 in 4 locations, to 10 000 at 40 locations to date.” (source: Kruger Park website) This is, unfortunately, turning in to a problem. They’re voracious eaters and destroy the environment for other creatures. The debate about a good solution continues to rage.
